Credit Union of America
Information by TrustFinance researcher
Credit Unions is a financial cooperative where members own a share of the organization and have a vote in the appointment of our volunteer Board of Directors and Supervisory committee. This structure of membership allows our account owners to be more involved in the direction and leadership of CUA. Unlike a bank, where dividends are paid only to the stockholders, CUA’s dividends are paid back to the entire membership in the form of lower loan rates and higher dividend rates on deposit accounts. To utilize CUA services, a share/savings account is required, with a minimum balance of $25 for adult accounts.
