Etrader was founded in 2007 in an effort to supply individual consumers with a new product in the Israeli stock market- an online trading platform for binary options. The company was built on the belief that trading based on stock options, foreign currency and commodities should be simplified and accessible to a wide audience. In 2008 Etrader became the first Israeli company licensed to issue options based on the NASDAQ indices.
