Impesa started its operations in March 2014 in Costa Rica, as the first payment fintech firm in the country. With an experienced management team and a new business growth strategy, Impesa has shown sustainable growth during the past four years. Impesa provides services to its corporate, commercial and retail clients at its headquarters in San José. The capital of Costa Rica is the national center of commercial and industrial activities. The business model targets various market segments, direct to consumers and leading Caribbean and Central American banks. The three main lines of business of Impesa are Software as a Service for financial institutions, retail peer-to-peer application development and general innovative digital payment methodologies. It serves more than 25 banks and 300 companies in the region and was named “Forbes 30 Most Promising Businesses of Central America and the Dominican Republic for 2021” and also named “Exporter of the Year 2021” in the Services category by the Costa Rican Chamber of Exportation (CADEXCO).
