What are the differences in regulations for each
License
A Grade License
Issued by globally renowned regulators, these licenses ensure the highest trader protection through strict compliance, fund segregation, insurance, and regular audits. Dispute resolution and adherence to AML/CTF standards further enhance security.
B Grade License
Granted by respected regional regulators, these licenses offer robust safety measures such as fund segregation, financial reporting, and compensation schemes. Though slightly less strict than Tier 1, they provide dependable regional protection.
C Grade License
Issued by regulators in emerging markets, these licenses offer basic protections such as minimum capital requirements and AML policies. Oversight is less stringent, so traders should exercise caution and verify safety measures.
D Grade License
From jurisdictions with minimal oversight, these licenses often lack key protections like fund segregation and insurance. While attractive for operational flexibility, they pose higher risks to traders.

Nasdaq Private Market (NPM) provides a secondary market trading venue and tech platform for private companies/issuers, employees and other shareholders, banks, broker-dealers, as well as prospective investors of private company stock. Since inception, NPM has facilitated more than $44 billion in transactional volume and has executed more than 600 company-sponsored programs on behalf of private companies. More than 160,000 market participants have unlocked liquidity through an NPM program. NPM offers private companies and investors various liquidity solutions including tender offers, auctions, company marketplaces, and block trades. In 2021, NPM spun-off of Nasdaq to become its own, independent company receiving strategic investments from Nasdaq, Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), Citi, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and later Allen and Co. Today’s reality is that companies are choosing to stay private for longer. This is the new market standard. With leadership and expertise in the market, NPM’s vision is to further expand the liquidity landscape.
