In the Spring of 2016, WorkPilots launched iOS, Android and Web versions (mobile first) of an on-demand job matching service in Finland. This on-demand job matching app has revolutionized the way young people find temporary work and gain work-experience, using a few clicks on their smartphones. In 2,5 years, over 20,000 users in Finland have registered and offices has been setup in Sweden and Portugal with a total team of 10 people. Business in Finland has grown steadily, yearly revenue has more than doubled each year and partnerships has been formed in Sweden to allow efficient market entry. In the next 3 years successful business models in Nordics will be replicated across Europe with focus on high unemployment regions where today an estimated 4-7m youths are out of work. Youth unemployment is one of the biggest problems facing society today. Ignoring this issue will result in a lost generation and massive cost to global economies through unemployment benefits, missed out tax revenue and social unrest. Young people of all backgrounds are being starved of the opportunity of getting into the workplace to prove their skills and participate in the economy.
